Phase One of this project was to renovate the entrance foyer and public spaces of the old house. After completing this initial work in 2012, we returned to build an addition and bring the original house in a new direction.
A fully planted green roof sits atop the ultra modern rear addition. The new kitchen, family and music rooms have ten foot glass walls that face the garden and year-round spa.
The stairs are blackened stainless steel and fully cantilevered flanked by a glass wall and rift oak paneling.
The powder room vanity is a slab of white oak salvaged from a local tree that we milled and dried in our shop for four years.
