It took just under a year to complete this 12,000-foot new colonial house. The house is built for entertaining with its pool, shade pavilion, tennis court and 3,000 feet of patio space.
At the rear property line, we built a large retaining wall and used fill from the site to level large parts of the back yard.
While excavating the fourteen-foot-deep basement we had to mitigate a very high and abundant ground water condition. The end solution was to install 550 feet of drainage pipe through the adjacent street to the nearest storm drain inlet.
Three stone chimneys, a large paneled foyer and the twenty-foot cathedral ceiling with oak cladding and beams in the family room complete this stately house.
